Summer Reading Programs for Children and Adults

Programs at locations throughout Michigan

University of Detroit Mercy is proud to offer the Summer Reading and Writing Skills Program to families on campus and at more than 15 other locations throughout Michigan. Since 1996, this program has helped students in our community build strong reading and writing skills and develop a deep love of books and reading. The program is designed and taught by the Institute of Reading Development, a nationwide leader in reading skills instruction.

Program coordinators are available:

  • Monday through Friday: 5 a.m. - 7 p.m.
  • Saturday: 5 a.m. - 4 p.m.
  • Sunday: 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
